Mango Jacket, Blue jeans, Esprit top, Nike bag, Red and Green scarf
The past few days have been moody, rainy and bleh. We visited a concentration camp yesterday, which was depressing. I fell asleep in the tram today and only woke up at the endstation, which was embarassing. Good times.
Coco was adorably cute today and stared at me the whole time when I got home. I took her out and played with her, then she got pissed and bit me. Oh, how I love her :)
My friend and I played dress up in the changing cabinets and took many pictures. I really wish I could have wallpaper like that (or any other type of vintage-esque wallpaper) on my bedroom wall! What a great atmosphere it'd give.
Stefanel dress for only 19 euros!
I created the outfit below for a Polyvore competition. The prize is a Matthew Williamson for H&M necklace :) When I was making it, I was thinking of Spring weather and the perfect breeze. Making virtual outfits is such a great relaxation method!
My computer died on me a couple days ago (actually, it was right after I posted the tag entry), so I haven't been able to post because I didn't have any photos. I tried to keep up with all your posts though hehe
These photos are from when I visited the United Nations. It was a really sunny day and there were so many visitors, so I didn't feel out of place posing away :)

I've got a whole new face routine now. I use the Clinique Liquid Facial Soap (left) as a cleanser, and it does its job amazingly well. After washing my face with it, all the oily residue and gross crap is gone and I feel really happy and healthy lol.

The Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel is a light but effective formula for combination/oily skin. I apply it only on areas that are dry, since my oily areas get even more shiny if I apply it there. It could be a bit more moisturizing though, since my dry areas dry up again after a while.

The Body shop Cheek Bloom is an amazing blush! It's on the peachy side and very matte. I really like how natural it looks on my skin. Definitely a great blush for the spring! The original price was 22 Euros - I got it for 5 Euros lol (I really couldn't pass up a bargain like that).

The Body Shop eyeshadow no. 34 I am so impressed with this shadow. Although you can see tiny shimmers in the shadow, it's actually matte, and I love that. The color is amazingly vibrant and shows up so well. One layer will do for a day look, and foiling it will give you that beautiful eye-catching royal blush. I definitely recommend this shadow.

The Body Shop lipstick in Soft Pink I am in love! The color payoff is amazing, it doesn't have any weird smell to it and its a perfect natural color to have around you the whole time! Plus, its super moisturizing and softens your lips.

Mac Flash N Dash from the Fafi Collection Although the color looks super flashy and vibrant, it actually turns out pretty muted on the lips (well, my lips at least). I don't mind that about it, since I look horrible with too bright lipstick lol. But it looks exactly like some other Max Factor lipsticks I have, so that was a bit of a bummer. It is a great lipstick though. Just a bit boring.

Yves Rocher eyeshadow in Taupe Buyere no. 71 I've been seeing adverts for the eyeshadows for a while so it was natural that my curiousity took over and I got one. But this shadow really disappointed me. If you use a dry brush to apply it, you'll hardly see any color. To really see the true color, you have to first spray your brush with water, dap into the color violently, then foil it with any medium you have - the result will then be a beautiful rich taupy eggplant color.

Yves Rocher Framboise eau de Toilette spray Yummy! This really smells delicious. You can spray it everywhere - on your hair, on your clothes, on you... it's a light spray so it won't ever overwhelm. I just spray a mist and then walk into it - then i smell like Raspberry the whole day! Definitely a must for those of you who like yummy scents :)

A couple of days ago, I received my sample set from Mineralissima (thank you Kati!) I haven't had time to try out all the product yet, so a review on the set will be up probably sometime around next week :)
In the meantime, everyone have an uber brilliant weekend!
Le Jean de Marithe + Francois Girbaud top, H&M skirt, mom's hat and Nike sneakers
Spring has kidnapped me and is not allowing me to blog. How's that for an original excuse? Today I went shopping in the city, then shopping for new skin care and makeup products, and then shopping for groceries. So basically now I'm just dead.
All these pictures were taken yesterday outside by a lake close to my place. It was scenically beautiful and there were swans everywhere. Ahh, this is spring at it's finest!
The last couple of days have been amazing, full of walks outside in the sun, working on my artbook and taking endless amounts of pictures. I've got so many to edit now! I'm so sorry that I haven't been posting as much lately. I'm helpless to the charms of the sun, and can't seem to stay indoors.
On the last day of school before spring break, we went to the Museum of Modern Art and looked at the exhibition of Maria Lassnig's works.
She's an Austrian artist and has a very unique and identifiable style. She's quite brave too! She's 90 years old and is not at all hesitant about painting and exhibition herself in the nude. Respect. Some of her pieces are a bit weird though and I really don't get them. Otherwise, I quite liked her colorful and abstract pieces. BTW I apologize for my tourist attire! lol
My hamster, Coco, wishes you a belated Happy Easter :)
What the hell is that weird black thing? Is it alive? It looks like its about to explode. Let's dissect it and take a look inside...
Turns out its a makeup bag! Okay, I'll stop being weird now and introduce you to the things that I carry around me all the time lol :)
Guerlain foundation powder
It works as a setting powder when used with a kabuki brush, and a great-coverage foundation powder when used with the sponge (the sponge it comes works quite well and smells nice too). The sponge is in a different compartment from the powder, so the bacteria doesn't get into the powder. Pretty clever eh?
If you want the powder to look unpowdery, you can wash your face, dash enough water off so that your face is not wet, but not completely dry either (i think the correct word would be damp), and then just apply the powder over. The powder melts and turns into liquid foundation! Pretty neat. My mom introduced me to this, and I've been hooked ever since lol.
Evian Facial Spray
"It's just water!" some of my friends keep telling me. I use it because a) the bottle looks slick, b) it's great for cooling down without taking part in a water-fight and c) the water contains rich minerals and vitamins that help refresh your face, all without ruining your makeup. I usually spray this on before applying my powder foundation, or during the day, when I need to refresh my face.
Maybelline Blush in Rose
My fave blush ever. It's a beautiful light rose color and smells like roses, which is good because it smells nice, and bad because the smell gets to you if you use it often (I get sick when I smell it for too long).
Carmex Lipbalm and The Body Shop Coconut Lipbutter
When I had braces, my lips were constantly chapped and gross and eww. I used Vaseline like a drug, and although my lips felt like bloated harp seals (gross I know), at least they weren't cracking like the polar ice caps. A couple days before I got my braces off, I discovered Carmex. And I swear, my lips have been happy ever since. It's great medication - your lips feel fresh and healthy immediately after you apply it. I recommend this to anyone with chapped lips.
The Body Shop Lipbutter is just something I use as an alternative sometimes (it smells AMAZING btw) but is not as good as Carmex. It also makes me lips a little white, which is not good since my lips are already not very pigmented.
Maybelline Great Lash mascara
Definitely not my favourite mascara. But it keeps my eyelashes curled and is quite small, so it's handy for touch-ups.
Bourjois Eyeliner in Brun
I use this instead of black eyeliner - it looks more natural. It's too hard for my taste, since it pulls on my skin, but otherwise I really like it.
Eyedrops
My eyes get dry really often due to my silly contacts, so I like to use this when they're unbearable dehydrated.
I don't carry shadows around with me, since they crack (I handle my bag a little roughly sometimes lol) and then end up making a lot of mess. I just apply the colors I need at home and then if they fade, they fade. Anyway, that's it for what's in my makeup bag. Have a great Friday everyone!
