This is a photoshop work I did some time ago. I found it in my "random" folder lol
My four-day weekend starts tomorrow, and i'll be devoting 110% of all that time studying for my exams :( Any tips on studying/remembering vocab would be super trouper duper appreciated :) Just wanted to pop in really quickly and mention my short haitus until june 12th.
And...I also wanted to share this:

And huge bear hugs to Emily and Laura for the awards :)
I always feel uber guilty whenever I'm not doing something exam-revision related. But I can't stop! And my exams are in about a week's time, so yipeedoodles.
The good thing is that it'll be over in a flash, so I'll just have to bite my teeth down hard for a couple more weeks and then I'll be freeeeeeeee!
I hope everyone's having a better time (that shouldn't be too hard, lol)
I want to thank you all so much for reading, commenting and subscribing to my blog. Every comment makes me smile like the grinch, lol. It really means so much to me. A thousand bear hugs and smooches to you all!
I'm wearing a tommy hilfiger shirt, zara jeans, h&m jacket, mango scarf and doc martin ballerinas.
The sky was impossibly blue and charming today, so we climbed to the rooftop and took a couple of pictures. I haven't been able to stop wearing those sunglasses since I got them. They're super big and weird and I feel so at home in them :)

A simple and comfy saturday outfit I wore to chinese school yesterday. It was lovely outside, and the air smelled fresh and clean since it's been depressingly rainy the past two days. My exam revision will officially start next week, so I won't be posting a lot (not that I'm posting a lot right now anyway -.-)
I'm so sorry I haven't updated in like a gazillion years, especially since I said I would :( But school has kidnapped my free time and I'm drying out here. Yesterday we performed for drama, and now I'm trying to learn 12 french mini essays by heart for next friday. save me!
Anyway, to relax, I just browse around photography galleries online and [try to] get inspired. Then I found nitot.org and was totally blown away. Benjamin Nitot is an amazingly talented photographer. I love absolutely all his works. The vivid colors, the captures...It makes me want to jam all my study notes into a bin and start snapping away. Here are a couple of the most colorful and vivid shots that I love from his works:
First of all, happy mother's day! Today was reasonably peaceful, & I started and finished "I'm Not Scared" for english class. It's a unique read.
Today I just lolled about at home most of the time, so I wore my comfy Hello Kitty pajama bottoms, Mango t-shirt and a vintage cardigan.
These are from my collage and decollage series I did last year in art class. I want to do something similar for my end of year project, but different. I'm trying to find inspiration from everywhere, so if you have any favourite artpieces or illustrations that inspire you, feel free to share them with me - I'd be very grateful!
I'm so sorry for the lack of posts lately! Exams are coming up in a few weeks so I'm going to be busy studying. I'll try to squeeze out as many posts as I can the next few days!
I found these week-old pictures from when blossoms everywhere were in their prime. It's sad to see the trees empty again. I love that time of season.
I've wanted to go there ever since I did a geography project on it in 7th grade. It's full of life and mysteries. I'd love to go on an expedition there sometime :)
4. Santorini
The most beautiful place on earth, I'm convinced. Everything looks simply perfect, clean and just beautiful.
5. Hawaii
One of my favourite romance books takes place here hehe :) Plus, I've heard so many good things about it - I'd love to see all that proclaimed beauty with my own eyes!

I know you keep seeing those Nike sneakers and must be getting sick of them, but they're just so comfy! Plus, I get blisters when I walk too much in ballerinas, which i never wear while shopping. So yeah. lol I'll try to incorporate different shoes in the future though :)
I've been feeling like cow poop the past two days since I twisted my ankle while jumping down the stairs (not recommended). So yeah, I'm having a fantastic three day weekend. These pictures were from some time ago when I went shopping with my mom and sister.

Mineralissima is a Dutch makeup brand whose products contain no dyes, parabens, glycerin or other irritants which cause break outs in skin. Their products are also reasonably priced, their philosophy being "to offer quality mineral makeup at prices which everyone can afford". They ship worldwide (to Europe its EUR 3.50 regardless the size of the order).
I was very intrigued by the brand, since my friend had just warned me about dangerous ingredients in makeup, and started using the products right away.
Foundation
I've had little experience with Mineral (powder) foundations before, so it took a while for me to figure out an effective routine: Spray water on kabuki brush to dampen it, tap some foundation onto lid, swirl kabuki in it, and then apply all over face.
The application was wonderfully even and looked really natural. For the best results, its best to exfoliate your face first to get rid of those flaky dead skin particles.
Concealer
I wasn't that impressed by the line of concealers. The coverage was very light, and the only ways to darken it (foiling or reapplying) made my face look rather sick.
The Minty green concealer helps to "erase" those blotchy areas on your face, since green neutralizes red. This was the only concealer I was happy with. But once again, the coverage was too light. I prefer my green stick concealer, since its consistency allows better coverage.
Blushes
Amazing creations! Flirt Blusher, Darling and Youth Dew were the ones I received. The colors are all beautiful and so natural and fresh. I always have to stop myself from applying too much lol, but i just loved it so much :)
Since I only got the samples, the containers didn't have any filters, which sucked because it was hard getting the appropriate amount of blush I needed. Either I took too much and because a monkey butt face or I accidentally pushed the contained, spilling the beautiful blush. So overall, the product is great but the container kind of sucked.
Bronzer and finishing powder
Sunkissed Bronzer gives you a realistic sunkissed glow and is ideal for anywhere. I used it a couple of days instead of blush and it was nice to see how I look if I were ever properly tanned (usually I just turn a bit more yellow -.-)
The finishing powder is one of my favorites from this whole set. The container was sample sized with no filter yet again, so its always a pain to get the right amount. But once you apply it all over your face, all you can feel is the softness of it on your skin. It's great for setting liquid foundations or getting rid shine in the t-zone.
Eyeshadows
I was amazed at the vibrancy of the shadows, some of which had a metallic tinge. I foiled the loose shadows (dampen brush, dab into eyeshadow, tap off excess, spray with water, then apply) and with just one swipe, the color was already like WOW. I like Peacock the best (the metallic green one)
The brushes
The kabuki brush = love. I use it for applying the foundations and the finishing powder. Its soft, but strong enough to get into the micro valleys in your skin, making the coverage even and smooth. Plus, due to its cute small size, its easy for me to take it everywhere.
The eyeshadow brush was a bit disappointing. The bristles are quite stiff and kind of uneven, so i just use it for blending out shadows now. Its also small in size, so its handy to take around.
All in all, I really do recommend Mineralissima products, especially to those of you who have stopped or consider to stop using makeup due to the dangerous ingredients.
"Swirl your makeup brush in a little bit of minerals, tap the excess off the brush and buff your way to a beautiful, flawless skin"
