axis here is still unknown

Some film shots of me from a while ago. It's amazing how hard it is to finish a roll of film of only 36 images. With digital, I get through with that number in like 5 minutes. Anyway, just a quick post to say that I'm still alive and it's due to school that I haven't been able to update a lot. The weekend is coming up though so hopefully I'll be posting something more interesting. Enjoy your day!

FREQUENCY FESTIVAL

It was amazing. Probably the best weekend I've ever had. I got to meet all the members of the Klaxons, go backtsage with them, play Playstation 3 with Steffan the drummer, attend a party on their tour bus and listen to them all talk about everything from the Queen holding beer over her head (yeah, don't ask) to the process of their song-writing (they weren't serious. i hope).

James and Jamie and Steffan were such a fun and quirky bunch. I really regret not documenting it more. It just seems so dreamy and unreal now. Here are some photos from the trip. My friend took a couple shots with her film camera when we were on their tourbus and when we were backstage. there's one of me with Steffan on the Playstation I think. i'll post those as soon as I get them!

Sorry for the image overload and for not posting in ages. And school's started so that means infrequent postings once again. I promise I'll try my best though. I got a ton of new goodies and gifts recently that I can't wait to incorporate into my outfits :)

p.s. A couple of really sweet readers recognized me. Big shout out to them :)

random outfit + random snaps around Vienna

I'm off to Frequency festival tomorrow! So so so excited...practically all my favourite bands are going to be there: Peaches, Bang Bang Eche, Marina and the Diamonds, La Roux, Klaxons, Shout out louds, Billy Talent (!!), the cribs etc etc. Ahhh I'm so stoked! Today I went grocery shopping and I'm quite proud of the miniature mountain of junk food I've acquired. Oh yeah. Anyway, stay cool and I'll be back asap with enough stories and photos to stuff up your drain. You'll hear from me in four days!

Noir Jumper

Mango pullover. h&m trend pants. belle sandals. misc rings.

I've been busy doing a lot of summer work at home ergo the not-so-outfit-picturey outfit photos. Sawrry about that! I might go out tomorrow to meet some friends, so hopefully there will be better things to post soon. I've made a couple of new accounts recently, including a new photography portfolio and a new flickr. Please check me out there if you have time! Oh and this is a short reflective movie I filmed ages ago. And yes, that's my drowsy voice narrating. All the text is from Pat Barker's novel Border Crossing and this was something i had to make for class. Tell me what you think :)

nine in the afternoon

Photography - Victoire Jin (me)
Styling - Milica Jovicevic
Models - Iris and Mercedes (Stellamodels)

Some of you might have seen this in the first issue of KNEON, but I just wanted to post them here for the sake of, well, posting them here. Iris, who's in most of the photos, has such a great allure: she's got the eyes, the hair, the lips, the legs...basically everything. And she was such a great poser. Today I had another shoot styled by Raffaela Loebl and it was pretty fun. The theme was centered on the rolling stones daughters like Theodora Richards and Lizzy Jagger and was kind of rock/glam/grunge. Raffi did such a great job of putting together the outfits and the location was perfect as well. The photos ended up being pretty much exactly as I hoped they would; I'll try to post some teaser photos asap :)

illustrated

Erandi send me this illustration she did of me and I feel so so honored. It's always amazing to find these surprises when I check my email. Thank you so much! The illustration is based on this outfit.

Also many thanks to Ganda and Bestie for featuring me. I really appreciate it :)

playing in the night

zara denim jacket. hm dress and shoes. necklace from beijing.

I know I look suspiciously like I'm stripping in the third photo from the bottom, but believe me, I was just taking off one of the optional straps of the dress, which is seriously made of awesome. The bottom part has a balloon quality which makes me feel more secure since it's not like butt-suffocating tight, and it has these dangling straps from the top that you can choose to use as straps for the dress. So ingenious! You can notice some variations in the dress in the photos. I know these photos are a little different from my other outfit photos, but I'm trying to be more experimental in these last weeks of the holidays. If you have any ideas you'd want me to try, please tell me!

tyger tyger burning bright

hm dress (in stores soon) and blazer. AA over-knee socks. pieces studded bag. vintage sneakers.

You're probably all sick of these sneakers, but it was rainy and gross and cold (what happened, summer?) and I didn't feel like trudging out in my favourite heels or any better shoes. So yeah, sorry about that! Anyway, I was I was recently contacted by James McFay, whose project Beaufort produces many movies and short films. He he sent me a DVD of his latest movie, Tiger, and I was seriously impressed. The film, which features beautiful cinematography and a great soundtrack, is about relationships and falling in love between models in the fashion industry working overseas and the various problems they face due to their careers. Just watch the trailer - you'll be amazed :)

so bohemian like you

hm crop sweater and skirt. doc martens. vintage necklace. pieces bag.

What I've been up to these days: obsessing over crop tops, listening to the Glee soundtrack, watching Lost, getting new glasses (they're nerdy and big. you'll see them soon), mattress shopping, showroom hopping, photoshoot planning, model booking, party photographing, working (not so much), filming, photographing, outfit-picture-photoshooting & lastly, stomping around the rainy city with leo-print rainboots. What have you been up to lately?

I have mixed feelings about her new hair. What do you think?

the one with the floating head

mango top. hm shorts and sandals. diy bag.

I just realized that I look like I'm a part of the wall. Who needs invisibility cloaks these days? jeesh. Anyway, due to my favourite crafts closing, I haven't been able to make any diy-cotton bags in a while, and i miss making them. I have so many designs ready and I also want to make some more KNEON promo bags. Which reminds me: the theme for the next issue will be "Big City Life" and if any of you would like to contribute, feel free to send us an email at kneonmag@gmail.com
