Yesterday was my last day of High School. And I guess I just felt a little sad about leaving the place I've been attending for over 15 years, since I was 3. But we celebrated together as a grade today, all dressed up to a Fiesta theme, playing loud music, hitting pinatas, throwing sweets into classrooms, dancing, getting a bouncy castle (!!) and playing silly pranks and just being loud and annoying. It was fun. I think I'll really miss the place.
Even though you are sad it's ending, I know that there are amazing things ahead for you. I love the Mexican themed outfit, must've been alot of fun.
ReplyDeleteIn Belgium we celebrate this in a similar way: one hundred days before you leave high school, there is one week, where al the graduaters (or what are they called) attend class all dressed up and we get a hughe party with all the schools from around the city. It totally rocks! x
ReplyDelete15 years?! All of a sudden I feel so weird for only ever having 10 years of education... (6 schools shared between the 4 years primary + 6 years high school). I can't seem to comprehend the feeling of 15 years in one place, that is sooo amazing! I'd probably have cried yesterday if that was me hehe...

Wow! 15 years is a lot! I moved schools, 4 times. The last one, I stayed there for 7 years. The last day was pretty sad. Actually, mixed feelings, because I studied in a military school and there were too many rules, so at times we were happy that it was over and sometimes sad. You always miss something though. Even if it's just your friends and the things you used to do ate school, as it's in my case.

I cried like a baby when I graduated from high school! I knew I would miss my friends, my school, and the whole experience - even though I hated it sometimes. Well I was right: I do miss it now, all the time. But I'm still friends with the same people and we always laugh and bond over our high school memories. They really were some of the best. It may sounds cheesy, but you'll get over the sadness in time. And it will be replaced by something so wonderful that it will always make you smile. (:
