Vienna caught on film

I prefer shooting film so much more than digital. Not because the photos look any better (mine are so horrifically dark and blurry), but because you get to enjoy the moment more by just taking a snap and then forgetting about it, rather than checking the photo and -oh no god forbid your eyes were closed in that one- taking twenty more.

I'm back on campus now, preparing for my lectures tomorrow, which I'm really excited about. Plus tons of errands to run in town, as well as signing up for some more classes and organising trips to London and Edinburgh. And my birthday is on friday! What did you do for your last birthday? I might knick some ideas; my brain is too fried from all the extra paninis I ate on the plane.

And thank you all again for your constant comments. I wish I could browse through your blogs and comment back as I used to, but these days I barely have time to even blog. I do read every single comment, and it means so much to me you're following, reading and leaving genuine ideas and thoughts! I really have such quirkily fun readers. Love to you all!

  2. i can only agree. i haven't done film photography in years, but i always loved it. with digital photography every single photo is being scrutinized and the process of just taking a photo in the moment is being forgotten.
i like these images. they're raw and honest and i love that side of photography.

  4. You always take great photos! You're right about the film photography..! Besides all of that, i love how the result look like an old photo or vintage :)

  5. I agree about how with film, it's sometimes quite nice to not have that digital screen to check photographs...and even dark or blurry photographs just look more eclectic. (Admittedly, I haven't done much film at all lately as I'm very rusty with how to use manual settings.) Good luck on your first day of lectures for the new sem! I hope that it goes just as well as last sem xx

  6. Das dritte und das Valentino Bild finde ich haben so eine besondere Atmosphäre, die nur Fotografie mit Film darstellen kann. Zauberhaft! Ich muss meine normale Camera mal wieder rauskramen, jetzt wo ich so fabelhafte Ergebnisse sehe :)

Und das mit "keine-Zeit-zum-Bloggen!!" kenn ich nur zu gut :)
    xx
