Neutrals all the way

HM shorts, Topshop tank, Bally shoes, Falke tights, bag from Beijing, Persol sunglasses, HM necklace

Some facts: 1. Reese Witherspoon does not age. 2. Gifs are suspiciously easy to make. 3. I've been wearing a log of gray lately. I think there's something neutral about the colour that I like.

Forest lady

Zara top with leather details, American Apparel skirt, Peppermint loafers, Mango bag

Today: consuming magazines and coffee like it's nobody's business. And hey, it isn't. I went to my favorite cafe in town to work. It poured monkeys outside while I was in, and by the time I got out it was sunny and beautiful. It's the most obvious coincidences in life that make you smile like an idiot on the ubahn. Or maybe that's just me.

365 The Fox House

365 The Fox House, Westbahnstrasse 11-13, Vienna

Today I met up with Katrin and Barbara from 365 The Fox House; an art/shopping experience that was built with the awareness of a 365-day lifespan. The shopping space is beautiful, full of DIY interior, independent designers, self-printed t-shirts, and indie art magazines. The outside is decorated with beautiful graffiti illustrations. Sadly, the space will be demolished/shut down for renovation next tuesday, so definitely check it out for some alternative fashion, knick knacks and accessories before then!

Guilty of wearing shirts of bands I don't listen to

Shapeless Zara pants*, HM tank top, HM blazer, Vintage leo sneakers, Salvatore Ferragamo clutch, Vintage accessories

*aka trousers, as I am always corrected by my British friends. What do you call it? Pants? Trousers? Solid leggings? It doesn't matter. First day back, I did some work on KNEON, salivated over copies of my favourite magazines (I'll show you tomorrow), cleaned up my room (disaster zone), and headed out to my favourite ribs place. I am still too full. And remember what I said about having my dslr? Well, I lied. It's just way too heavy. People are always surprised when they hold my camera. It's basically a canonball with a strap.

Summer like strawberry colada

After some very intense packing and a stressful plane journey - I am back in VIENNA! It's good to be home. I've been done with work for a couple weeks already, but only now do I feel like summer's really begun. And I really have no idea how a photo of my strawberry colada from friday is supposed to relate to this, but let's just assume it does.

Zara shirtdress, HM pleather leggings, HM Fashion Against Aids sandals, HM glasses, Mango bag

Looking not as a happy as my shirtdress, but that would be quite a feat. Meet the one bright colorful piece in my wardrobe (to clarify: it makes all other colors look weak and unsaturated). This random post is really just a jiggle until tomorrow when I finally have my dslr on my hands again to shoot some proper photos. Don't worry, G12, you're still a pretty rad Canon, I just need some more depth of field.

Mansion last night

Last night, we had pre-drinks at Pinny's place (cosmo mixes and champagne, yum) before heading out to Mansion. The night ended with enthusiastic belting-out of Backstreet Boy classics at a karaoke place, before we finally returned home early in the morning, with the sun shining and the early joggers out. I'm back at my dorm now, but I have many more photos from my amazing trip to post! good night.

I'm in Edinburgh!

Outfit: Zara striped top, HM pleather leggings, Zara shoes, Michael Kors sweater, H&M green shirt, Salvatore Ferragamo bag

Hello from Edinburgh! I'm visiting my friend Pinny who studies here. The city is absolutely stunning, with a huge variety of architecture and so. much. space. A new friend I met today on the train told me that the city is very '3D'. And he's totally right - if you come to Edinburgh, you'd agree. We've also been blessed with wonderful sunny weather - hopefully this will continue on for tomorrow! A trip to the spa and high english tea is the plan! Kisses.

Back to Backless

American Apparel body suit | Vintage shorts | Primark shoes (yep, Primark!!)

Sorry for the lack of updates lately. Here is an outfit from Vienna at the height of my obsession with backless-everythings; a 2.0 of this outfit from last year if you may. I got this bodysuit at AA and am always tempted to wear it just because it's so versatile, removes traces of all belly-ness and you don't even need to wear a bra! I was a noobile extreme and actually asked the sales assistant who was wearing the same top: "um, excuse me, what kind of bra do you wear with that?" Her reply: "none!" Me: "oh...OH."

Waterfallin' / Week 1

Michael Kors sweater | Mom's top | Miss Selfridge jeans | Zara boots | Mango bag

Looking a bit worse for wear after shooting for some hours. The lovely DC helped me snap this (with her bike - yeah, I wish I had a mint bike with a basket too. It has a basket. Sorry, I'm just still recovering from the sadness from earlier in the year when I found out that my university campus is on a hill. Ergo no biking. Ergo no basket. Tear face. First world problems.)

A last dinner at Neni am Naschmarkt. I had the caesar salad and some lemonade.

An outtake from last week's outfit post. I thought I looked really angry so I didn't want to post it, but hey, this isn't an online dating site. Right? ...

You all know I'm crazy for graphic design and layout in magazines. I'm pretty much your everyday indie poser kid when it comes to choice of reading material - INDIE, ILOVEFAKE, Lula, Tank - but one of my favorites ever is ViVi Magazine. It's an explosion of cute and sexy half-asian girls with impeccable japanese 'it'-girl style all slammed into one busy magazine. The layout is messy, but there is so much good content. They also make sure to keep the models constant throughout all their issues, so you're essentially seeing a same group of girls as they 'grow' - witnessing hair changes, how various makeup and stylings look on them. You get a real sense of style that is applicable to everyday life, and I think that makes the magazine so approachable. Also, top bloggers like Rumi of FashionToast.com have been featured in it, so obviously they're aware of the blogger phenomenon and working with it to further their 'achievable style' notion.

In a nutshell: ViVi is a cool magazine.

Exciting exciting, I'm featured in Global Asia Magazine No. 25 (Pages 68-69). Unfortunately, the article is only in Chinese and Portuguese. Thanks Paolo!

Anyway, if you haven't noticed in the title, I've decided to do a big long post like this each week, so to include all those random things that happen during the week that I feel aren't 'fashion' enough to constitute separate post. Let me know what you think!
